Buying Checklist

Verify the line/scale and typical market price.
Compare official photos vs. box art (watch for reissues/variants).
Inspect paint (eyes/edges), seams, and joints; test articulation gently.
Confirm all accessories are present; check trays/inserts/manual/COA.
Look for factory defects (warping, leaning, sticky paint).
Check box condition if you care (dents, tears, sun-fade, smells).
Ask about authenticity (serials, holograms, licensed marks).
Note the seller, date, and price; keep receipts.

Display & Care

Keep out of direct sun; aim for 40–60% RH and stable temps.
Use stands/risers; don’t overload shelves; avoid leaning poses long-term.
Dust weekly with a soft brush or microfiber (no harsh chemicals).
Rotate poses occasionally to relieve joint stress.
Handle with clean hands (or cotton gloves for delicate paint).

Storage Basics

Use acid-free bags/boxes; avoid PVC touching painted areas.
Add silica gel for long storage; replace/refresh packs periodically.
Wrap sharp accessories; keep figures upright in bins.
Label bins clearly; include a photo of contents.
Store away from heat/attic/garage; choose a dry, dark closet.

Maintenance Schedule

Weekly: quick dust; check leaning/stance.
Monthly: wipe bases/risers; check joints/connectors.
Seasonal: deep clean shelves; audit for sun or humidity exposure.
Before selling: full accessory check; fresh photos; note condition honestly.

Mint: unopened or like new, no visible flaws.
Near Mint: opened, displayed carefully; minimal wear.
Good: light wear or small paint rubs; complete.
Fair: noticeable wear/missing parts; still displayable.
